About the Fund

The Dean of Students Office understands that unforeseen financial needs shouldn’t stand in the way of a student’s education. The DOS Student Emergency Relief Fund is here to help. In emergencies, students can apply to the DOS Student Emergency Relief Fund for immediate financial assistance or explore additional support through the Financial Aid Office. The DOS Student Emergency Relief Fund offers assistance to both undergraduate and graduate students who find themselves facing unforeseen situations that have led to unexpected and unanticipated financial challenges. These circumstances may include unexpected events or emergencies that have placed a sudden strain on their financial resources, making it difficult for them to meet their essential needs, educational expenses, or other financial obligations.

Applying to the Fund

As part of the request form, you will be asked to include supporting documents. For instance, if you're requesting funds due to an unexpected medical expense, please include documentation such as a medical bill or a treatment cost estimate. After making your purchase, it's essential to submit your receipt via email to ensure your eligibility for the DOS Emergency Relief Fund is maintained. While we make every effort to accommodate all requests we receive, we thoroughly and comprehensively review each application. Please note that the request may take up to 4-10 days for review, and funds are not guaranteed simply because you apply. Funding is limited, and each application is thoroughly reviewed.
