Accessibility Support

  • The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) is committed to providing support and services that enable students with disabilities to take full advantage of the rich opportunities Stanford has to offer.

Career Support

Community Standards

  • The Office of Community Standards is responsible for the student judicial process at Stanford. The office adjudicates cases related to possible student violations of Stanford’s community standards, including the Honor Code and the Fundamental Standard.

Dispute Resolution and Legal Issues

  • Ombuds Office is a confidential resource for students, faculty, and staff who need help resolving questions, concerns, disputes, or complaints. The Ombuds is a neutral, impartial, and independent office that helps individuals identify and evaluate the different options available to address their concerns.
  • Legal Counsel Office (LCO) provides free, confidential legal advice and consultation to students at no cost. The LCO gives preliminary advice so that students may be better able to understand the law and seek counseling if necessary.

Financial and Administrative Support and Assistance

  • Financial Aid Office administers financial aid, including grants, scholarships, student loans, and work-study. Students can sign up for appointments to meet with a Financial Aid officer with questions or for support navigating their aid package.
  • Student Services Center (SSC) provides a single point of contact for questions concerning administrative and financial issues, including billing, financial aid disbursements, refunds, cash advances, registration, course enrollment, transcripts and certifications, forms pick-up/drop-off, and more.

Housing and Residential Education

  • Student Housing manages housing applications, assignments, contracts, and maintenance requests.
  • Residential Education provides programming, community engagement, incident response, and student support for undergraduate students living on-campus.
  • Graduate Life Office staff provide comprehensive support for graduate students and their families living on-campus.

Office for Military-Affiliated Communities

  • The Office for Military-Affiliated Communities (OMAC) focuses on the administration and management of VA financial benefits, coordinates and supports educational opportunities for military-affiliated communities, and conducts outreach to faculty regarding engagement and support for faculty grants or other funding specifically identified for military and veteran communities. 

Safety

  • Stanford’s Department of Public Safety provides law enforcement, security, safety, crime prevention and emergency services 24 hours a day from its office on campus.
    • In case of emergency or to report suspicious activity call 9-1-1
